Write Like You Mean It - Workshop - October 17

$88.00

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to silence ourselves. To question our words before they ever reached the page. To worry about how we might be perceived, whether our stories were worth telling, or whether we had anything meaningful to say at all.

And so we stopped writing. Or perhaps we never really began.

But what if writing wasn't about being a writer? What if it was simply a way of coming home to ourselves?

Writing has become one of the most important anchors in my own life. A place to empty my mind, meet my grief, untangle my thoughts, and find my way back to my voice when the world feels unbearably loud.

Write Like You Mean It is a one-day experiential workshop exploring writing as a practice of self-expression, embodiment, and personal discovery.

This isn't a creative writing class. We aren't here to perfect our grammar, produce beautiful prose, or create something worthy of sharing.

We're here to get honest. To write the things we've been afraid to say. To explore the shame that keeps us quiet and discover what happens when we give ourselves permission to take up space.

What We'll Explore

Writing as an Anchor

Building a regular writing practice that supports you through uncertainty, grief, and life's changing seasons. Discovering how morning pages, journaling, and small daily rituals can create space to hear yourself again.

Getting Out of Your Own Way

Exploring automatic writing and stream-of-consciousness exercises. Learning to write without editing, overthinking, or worrying about what comes out.

The Shame of Being Seen

Exploring our fear of sharing, being misunderstood, and speaking from the heart. Learning to distinguish between writing for ourselves and choosing when, how, and with whom we share our stories.

Writing With the Seasons

Recognizing that our creative lives, like nature, move through seasons. Exploring how writing can accompany us through beginnings, endings, periods of stillness, and times of profound transformation.

What You'll Take Away

Through guided writing exercises, reflection, and conversation, you'll begin developing a writing practice that belongs to you.

You'll leave with a collection of prompts, practical techniques for overcoming the blank page, and a simple framework for creating your own daily or weekly writing ritual.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to experience writing without the pressure to perform. Sharing will always be an invitation, never an expectation.

You don't need writing experience, a story worth publishing, or even the desire to share your words with another person.

You just need a notebook, a pen, and a willingness to get curious about what might come out.
